Then smooth it out all the way around the glass to make sure it is tight.Īdd some extra E6000 glue where the two ribbon ends meet. I like to turn the glass upside down on the table which keeps the ribbon in the right place. Make sure that the top edge of the ribbon is even with the top of the glass. You’ll need to do it quickly because the hot glue dries very fast. Next add a few hot glue lines in between the E6000 lines. Then add a few lines of it in the middle of the glass. Start by adding the E6000 glue around the top and bottom edges of the glass. It dries really quickly and will hold the ribbon in place while the E6000 is drying. Which is where the hot glue comes into play. The E6000 creates a strong permanent bond and after it cures, it will stick even if it gets a little warm from the candles. I like to use both E6000 glue and hot glue. Next we need to glue on the diamond ribbon. It’s always better for the ribbon to be a little too big than a little too small…you can always cut it down to the right size later. Cut the ribbon off where it meets the other end. Next wrap the ribbon all the way around the glass. Line the bottom of the ribbon up with the bottom of the glass. The first step to making our candle holders is to cut the diamond ribbon to the right size.
